Max Verstappen described the Azerbaijan Grand Prix race as "very strong." A previously identified engine issue was resolved with a change, allowing him to compete. Initially on Medium tires, which didn't perform as expected, Verstappen still advanced effectively. Swapping to Soft tires improved performance significantly. A successful first restart and intense battling with George Russell in the final laps, despite slight turbo lag due to yellow flags, showcased strong pace. Verstappen noted the close finish and the team's success in maximizing their result, aiming for future wins. He expressed joy over the team's double podium finish.

Isack Hadjar deemed it a "better comeback" possible, highlighting the car's consistent competitiveness and his ability to challenge. He credited a step-by-step approach for building confidence and lap time, leading to a satisfying P3. Hadjar found the demanding track manageable once in flow, enjoying the car's performance and his battle with Verstappen. He acknowledged Verstappen's weekend strength and strategically stayed behind him, recognizing the Soft tire's advantage. Hadjar celebrated the "awesome result" of a double podium, the team's first in some time.

Laurent Mekies called the race "incredible" for Verstappen, Hadjar, and the entire Team. Finishing less than a tenth from victory after 51 laps, securing P2 and P3, demonstrated teamwork that matched Mercedes' pace and confirmed the team's progress. Mekies thanked everyone involved, both trackside and factory-based, for extracting further performance from the package following successful upgrades. He noted Verstappen's consistent speed from practice, lamenting his P8 start after missing a chance for Pole, but praised his fighting spirit in overtaking rivals before the final challenge with Russell. Hadjar's performance since returning from injury was called outstanding, marking another step forward. Mekies highlighted Hadjar's clever racing and car management, calling it his best race with the team and a deserved third place based on merit and pace.

Mekies contrasted the current competitive front-running position in Baku with the season's start, where the team was a second off the pace. He declared it the team's best weekend of the season, attributing the double podium to hard work and collective effort.
