In a significant breakthrough, 18-year-old Austrian Lilli Tagger has clinched her first WTA title at the Livesport Prague Open. Competing in her debut main draw at the tournament, Tagger emerged victorious in the final on Sunday, overcoming the challenge of No. 8 seed Daria Snigur from Ukraine with a score of 7-6, 6-2.

This impressive win marks a career milestone for Tagger, catapulting her from her previous ranking of No. 74 to a new personal best of No. 45 in the world. Consequently, she has now become the youngest player to be ranked within the top 50 globally. Snigur had a strong start in the match, managing to secure two early breaks to establish a 3-0 lead.
