Undefeated Micah Haas: Elite Training with Tatsuro Taira Fuels WXC 100 Confidence
Undefeated flyweight Micah Haas (7-0) is gearing up for a significant challenge, facing Jake Scott (8-1) in a title fight at WXC 100, scheduled for April 11th. In a recent interview, Haas offered insights into his intense preparation for this pivotal bout, his aspirations for a UFC contract, and his dedication to using his platform for mental health advocacy.
Haas described his current training camp as the most demanding of his career. "This has been the hardest training camp I’ve ever experienced," he revealed. "Knowing this is a five-round fight, I’ve been doing three-a-days and haven’t had an active rest day. On top of that, I’ve increased the level of who I’m training with."
A major source of his elevated confidence stems from sparring with high-caliber athletes. Haas highlighted his experience, stating, "I got to spar with Brandon Royval, Luis Gurie, [and] Tatsuro Taira. That has really given me an extra level of confidence." Training alongside a respected UFC flyweight contender like Tatsuro Taira, along with other elite fighters, underscores Haas's meticulous preparation and bolsters his belief in securing a victory that could potentially pave his way to the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
