PFL New York Results: Usman Nurmagomedov Dominates with First-Round Knockout

NEW YORK (JULY 31, 2026) – The UBS Arena in New York City was the stage for an electrifying night of mixed martial arts action at PFL New York. The event, held shortly after the significant merger announcement between MVP and the PFL, featured prominent combat sports figures in attendance, including Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Islam Makhachev, Kamaru Usman, Royce Gracie, and PFL Interim World Champion Johnny Eblen.

In the highly anticipated main event, PFL Lightweight World Champion Usman Nurmagomedov (22-0, 1NC) solidified his undefeated status and retained his title by defeating the previously unbeaten Archie Colgan (13-1) via first-round technical knockout. Nurmagomedov showcased a powerful striking performance, initially stunning Colgan with a head kick followed by a left hook. Despite Colgan’s resilience, Nurmagomedov sealed the victory with a series of devastating uppercuts and ground and pound, all within the first round.

The co-main event saw the impressive return of top-ranked Women's Flyweight Dakota Ditcheva (16-0), who secured a unanimous decision win against Denise Kielholtz (9-6). Ditcheva, returning after over a year away, delivered a masterful striking display and landed a key takedown, proving too much for Kielholtz.

In another standout bout, Amru Magomedov (11-0) delivered a dominant performance, defeating Angel Alvarez (11-3) by second-round TKO. Magomedov utilized his kicks effectively throughout the fight, notably weakening Alvarez's legs before finishing the bout with overwhelming ground and pound from full mount.

The main card kicked off with Moustapha Diakhate (6-0-1) making a powerful statement in his PFL debut. Diakhate quickly secured a takedown and advanced to full mount, where he delivered a barrage of strikes to finish Darryl Walker (2-1) by TKO in the opening round.
