Following a recent hat trick performance by St. Louis Blues forward Robert Thomas, renewed discussions have emerged regarding trade deadline speculation involving him. Sports analyst Elliotte Friedman commented on the situation, questioning the rationale behind trading such a player, a sentiment echoed by co-host Kyle Bukauskas.

Friedman suggested that while the trade talks were indeed "legit" and the Blues genuinely explored the possibility—though they never approached Thomas directly—there might have been an underlying motive.
