Other notable veteran players include Kris Letang (39.0), Sidney Crosby (38.7), Anze Kopitar (38.7), Mats Zuccarello (38.6), Nick Foligno (38.5), Claude Giroux (38.3), James Reimer (38.1), and Jordan Staal (37.6).
NHL Injury Notes:
Several teams are dealing with player absences due to injuries:
- Anaheim Ducks: Defenseman Radko Gudas missed Game 2 with an undisclosed injury.
- Buffalo Sabres: Forward Noah Ostlund is considered a strong possibility for tonight’s game.
- Edmonton Oilers: Forwards Adam Henrique (lower-body) and Jason Dickinson (undisclosed) were absent from the lineup.
- Ottawa Senators: Defenseman Artem Zub has not skated since sustaining his injury. Coach Travis Green indicated that Zub is a possibility for later in the series. Defenseman Tyler Kleven is nearing a return after an upper-body injury and has stopped wearing a non-contact jersey. Green is uncertain if Kleven will be ready for Game 3.
- Philadelphia Flyers: Defenseman Emil Andrae participated in the morning skate after missing Game 2 due to an upper-body injury.
- Tampa Bay Lightning: Forward Pontus Holmberg is expected to be out for a few more weeks and will not be available for this series. Coach Jon Cooper stated that Holmberg would need the team to advance to potentially play in a later round. Forward Charle-Edouard D’Astous is progressing well and is expected to skate in Montreal soon.
- Washington Capitals: Defenseman Rasmus Sandin underwent surgery to repair an ACL tear in his right knee, sustained on April 11th. The typical recovery period ranges from six to nine months.
