Kennedy Blades, an Olympic silver medalist and highly-ranked wrestler, continues to build a reputation for effectively utilizing her signature suplex technique in competition.
Much like a memorable instance during the 2024 Paris Olympics where her suplex was so forceful an opponent required medical transport, Blades recently executed the maneuver again in a tournament setting. While thankfully no injury occurred this time, the move was equally spectacular.
During a match on Friday, Blades impressively grabbed her opponent and launched her into the air with a stunning suplex sequence on the mats.
Blades delivered a dominant performance, securing a 13-0 technical fall victory to advance further in the tournament.
The 21-year-old phenom`s training history includes working under coach Israel Martinez, a figure well-recognized in the mixed martial arts community for coaching top fighters such as UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones and former UFC champion Holly Holm, among others.
Although Blades has previously hinted at potentially pursuing an MMA career down the line, her current focus is intensely directed towards capturing a gold medal at the upcoming Summer Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028.
