Vicente Luque vs. Kevin Holland Set for UFC 316

MMA news

Kevin Holland will continue competing in the welterweight division.

The UFC has officially announced that Holland will face Vicente Luque at UFC 316. The event is scheduled for June 7 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.

Luque will be making his debut in 2025, following a swift submission victory over Themba Gorimbo at UFC 310 in December. This win marked his recovery from a previous loss to Joaquin Buckley at UFC Atlantic City nine months earlier. Luque was previously set to fight Nick Diaz on two occasions, but Diaz withdrew from both.

Holland is known for his quick turnarounds and is coming off a notable decision win against Gunnar Nelson at UFC London in March. This victory marked a successful return to the welterweight division after suffering consecutive losses at middleweight to Roman Dolidze and Reinier de Ridder.

UFC 316 will be headlined by a highly anticipated bantamweight championship rematch between Merab Dvalishvili and Sean O’Malley.
