Veteran Fighter Pulls Out of UFC Vegas 107 Card

MMA news

The upcoming UFC Vegas 107 event has experienced a change to its lineup.

Sources familiar with the promotion`s planning have confirmed that Jeremiah Wells will no longer compete in his scheduled bout against Andreas Gustafsson at the May 31 event at the UFC APEX. The reason for his withdrawal was not disclosed. News of Wells` departure was initially reported by another outlet.

The UFC is currently seeking a replacement opponent for Gustafsson.

This fight would have marked Wells` return after a 15-month layoff. The 38-year-old veteran had a strong start in the promotion, winning his first four fights, but is now coming off back-to-back losses: a submission defeat to Carlston Harris and a split decision loss to Max Griffin in February 2024 at UFC Vegas 86.

Gustafsson, 34, is still set to make his organizational debut at the event. He earned his spot on the UFC roster last August via Dana White’s Contender Series, where he secured a second-round knockout victory over Pat Pytlik. Gustafsson is currently on a three-fight winning streak.

The UFC Vegas 107 card is headlined by an important women`s flyweight bout featuring Erin Blanchfield and Maycee Barber. Below is the current updated fight card:
