UFC Vegas 105: Rhys McKee and Others Awarded Performance Bonuses

MMA news

Rhys McKee`s patience and persistence paid off at UFC Vegas 105, culminating in his first UFC victory and a well-deserved $50,000 bonus.

In his fifth fight with the promotion, across two stints, McKee achieved a significant milestone by defeating Daniel Frunza. The fight concluded in the first round due to a doctor`s stoppage after a knockout, marking a triumphant moment for McKee. Having faced previous setbacks in the octagon in 2020 and 2023, this win against Frunza on Saturday was particularly rewarding.

McKee`s impressive performance earned him a Performance of the Night bonus, a recognition shared by Dione Barbosa and Chang Ho Lee.

Dione Barbosa also took home an extra $50,000 following a dominant display of grappling against Diana Belbita. Barbosa secured a victory by arm-triangle choke submission, improving her UFC record to 2-1.

Chang Ho Lee, in his official UFC debut after winning the Road to UFC tournament, showcased his grappling skills as well. He controlled Cortavious Romious, delivering a one-sided performance that ended with a TKO in the second round after more than eight minutes of dominance.

With no Fight of the Night bonus awarded, a total of four Performance of the Night bonuses were distributed, with the final one going to veteran flyweight fighter Ode Osbourne.

Ode Osbourne finished Luis Gurule in the second round with strikes, earning his first bonus since June 2022.
