Ante Delija is scheduled to make his anticipated UFC debut on September 6th. The recently signed former PFL champion will step into the octagon for the first time against veteran heavyweight Marcin Tybura (27-9) at UFC Paris.
Delija (25-6) previously captured the PFL heavyweight tournament crown in 2022, following a runner-up finish in 2021. His impressive championship run included victories over Matheus Scheffel, Shelton Graves, and Renan Ferreira. In the 2022 final, Delija again defeated Scheffel to secure the title and a $1,000,000 prize.
He concluded his PFL tenure with a 1-1 record before bouncing back with a first-round knockout victory over Yorgan De Castro at an event in Slovenia this past April.
Marcin Tybura has been a consistent presence in the UFC’s heavyweight rankings for close to a decade. The seasoned Polish fighter is currently on a two-fight win streak, having recently defeated the previously undefeated Mick Parkin and Jhonata Diniz. He has won three of his last four fights, and this upcoming bout will mark his 23rd appearance inside the UFC octagon.
The UFC Paris card on September 6th is headlined by a pivotal middleweight contenders’ clash featuring France`s own Nassourdine Imavov against Caio Borralho.
