UFC is bolstering its fight card for the upcoming return to Atlanta on June 14 with the addition of multiple new bouts. These newly announced contests will support the main event, which pits former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman against Joaquin Buckley.
UFC officials confirmed the inclusion of six more fights for the event taking place at the State Farm Arena this June. Among the newly added matchups is a welterweight clash featuring veterans Michael Chiesa and Court McGee.
Chiesa aims to build upon his recent success, having secured two consecutive submission victories against Max Griffin and Tony Ferguson. Similarly, McGee will look to maintain his momentum following his submission win over Tim Means last October.
Undefeated prospect Mansur Abdul-Malik is set for his second Octagon appearance after earning his contract on The Contender Series. He will face Cody Brundage in a middleweight bout on the card.
A flyweight encounter between Tereza Bleda and Jamey-Lyn Horth has also been confirmed for the event.
In the middleweight division, Edmen Shahbazyan is scheduled to return to action against Andre Petroski. This fight presents an intriguing stylistic contrast, pairing a striker against a grappler.
Flyweight veteran Cody Durden will have the opportunity to compete in his home state of Georgia when he takes on Jose Ochoa.
Finally, Alonzo Menifield is slated to meet the undefeated Oumar Sy in a compelling light heavyweight matchup at 205 pounds.
As previously announced, the co-main event for the Atlanta show is set to feature former two-time strawweight champion Rose Namajunas continuing her run in the flyweight division against Miranda Maverick.
The complete fight card for UFC Atlanta on June 14 is still in the process of being finalized by the promotion.
