UFC and Meta Partner on Fan Technology

MMA news

UFC president Dana White is deepening his relationship with Meta.

TKO Group Holding revealed on Wednesday a multi-year agreement between UFC and Meta, naming Meta as the “official fan technology partner” of the UFC.

Under this partnership, Meta will utilize its various platforms and technologies, such as Meta AI, Meta Glasses, Meta Quest, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads, to enhance fan engagement with UFC content. Meta will also serve as the “Official AI Glasses Partner” and explore innovative uses for its AI glasses at UFC events.

White and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg have developed a strong relationship, highlighted by Zuckerberg`s frequent attendance at UFC events and White`s appointment to Meta`s board of directors in January.

While the specifics of White`s role at Meta are not fully known, this partnership demonstrates the benefits of their business relationship. White announced on social media that Meta will help create a new fighter ranking system, expected to be launched by the end of 2025.

White stated, “We have already begun collaborating with Meta to develop a new fighter ranking system, thankfully launching later this year. We will also utilize Meta`s AI glasses for content capture and explore exciting innovations that will revolutionize the fan experience in the coming years.”

Zuckerberg expressed his enthusiasm: “I am a fan of UFC and excited to work with them to create new and immersive fan experiences.”
