UFC 316: Flyweight Clash Between Van and Silva Set for June

The exciting flyweight contest between Joshua Van and Bruno Silva has been rescheduled for UFC 316, taking place on June 7 in Newark, New Jersey. This pay-per-view event will be held at the Prudential Center.

The news of the rebooking was confirmed by MMA Fighting, following initial reports from Marcell Dorff.

Van and Silva were originally slated to fight on March 8 in Las Vegas. However, Silva was forced to withdraw from the bout due to several injuries. In Silva`s absence, Van faced Rei Tsuruya, winning by decision. Van is currently on a three-fight win streak in the UFC, with an overall record of 6-1 in the promotion.

Silva is aiming to bounce back after a TKO loss to Manel Kape in his last fight. Prior to this defeat, Silva had an impressive run of four consecutive wins, all finishes, earning him $50,000 performance bonuses for each victory.
