Tommy Fury has responded to Jake Paul`s recent audacious claim.
Social media personality Jake Paul, known as “The Problem Child,” recently asserted on his podcast that he is capable of defeating heavyweight boxing star Anthony Joshua. He stated, “I know that I will beat Anthony Joshua`s ass,” further adding, “He`s weak-chinned, unskilled, and stiff.” Despite claiming friendship with Joshua, Paul expressed his desire to fight him.
This boast is notable considering Joshua`s impressive credentials as a two-time heavyweight champion with a 28-4 professional record and an Olympic gold medal. Fury, Paul`s long-standing rival who defeated him in February 2023, shared his opinion on the potential Joshua-Paul match, clearly doubting Paul`s prospects.
In an Instagram Stories clip, Fury commented on the hypothetical fight, reminding everyone of his victory over Paul despite having a hand injury. “Jake Paul, I`m still your daddy,” Fury declared, dismissing the idea of Paul being a worthy opponent for Joshua.
Jake Paul has garnered significant attention since transitioning from YouTube to professional boxing, achieving an 11-1 record against various MMA fighters and recently scheduling a high-profile bout with Mike Tyson, to be broadcast on Netflix.
To date, Fury remains the only boxer to defeat Paul, a point Fury frequently emphasizes. He is currently awaiting his next fight announcement after a previous match was cancelled.
Paul later responded to Fury`s remarks, mockingly calling him “Tommy Fumbles Fury.”
