Timmy Cuamba Knocks Out Roberto Romero with Flying Knee at UFC Kansas City

MMA news

Timmy Cuamba secured a decisive second-round knockout victory over Roberto Romero at UFC Kansas City, highlighted by a spectacular flying knee finish. Romero had been significantly rocked earlier in the fight.

After a competitive first round, Cuamba asserted dominance in the second. He first hurt Romero with a precise jab, then followed with a head kick that Romero somehow absorbed. However, a vicious flying knee proved too much, sending Romero crashing to the canvas.

Cuamba landed follow-up strikes on the ground, but the referee quickly intervened, stopping the bout at the 3:55 mark of the second round.

“This win is thanks to my team,” Cuamba commented on his victory. “Entering the second round, I told myself to be great, and I executed that. I noticed he frequently ducked, so I anticipated that opportunity.”

This performance marked a significant improvement for Cuamba, who had previously lost his first two UFC fights by decision.

In this fight, Cuamba showcased a complete skillset and, crucially, a killer instinct, capitalizing when he hurt Romero with clean, damaging strikes in the second round.

The spectacular flying knee finish will undoubtedly become a highlight as Cuamba earns his first victory in the UFC.
