The PlayStation Portal received a significant update last year, marking its most substantial improvement since its debut in 2023. This update introduced several key advantages, most notably the capability to stream and play PlayStation 5 exclusive titles even if the user doesn’t own a PS5 console. Takuro Fushimi, Sony’s senior manager of product management, confirmed that as a direct result of these enhancements, the PlayStation Portal has now become the preferred device for PlayStation 5 Remote Play. It has surpassed other platforms such as mobile devices, PCs, PS5, and PS4 consoles in terms of usage for this feature.
