Sport news

In a post-match interview with Tennis Majors, French tennis player Terence Atmane shared his insights following an impressive victory over Top 10 player Félix Auger-Aliassime.

“Fantastic,” Atmane exclaimed, describing his performance. He revealed that despite some initial nervousness at the start of the match, he successfully managed to overcome it. A pivotal moment for him was breaking Auger-Aliassime’s serve at 3-2 in the first set, which significantly boosted his confidence.

However, Atmane also acknowledged the challenges faced in the second set. “Félix was better than me in every department,” he admitted, indicating a period where he struggled to gain traction. He also alluded to having “similar feelings to Cincinnati,” hinting at past experiences, but cautiously added, “that doesn’t mean I’ll replicate…” implying a careful approach to future expectations and results.
