Sources familiar with the organization`s schedule have confirmed that Tatsuro Taira and Amir Albazi are slated to meet in the main event of UFC Vegas 108 on August 2nd.
This bout marks Tatsuro Taira`s return after suffering the initial professional defeat of his career. The promising 25-year-old recently lost a close split decision to Brandon Royval in what was considered one of 2024`s top fights, headlining UFC Vegas 98 last October. Before that, Taira had secured six consecutive victories, notably finishing both Carlos Hernandez and Alex Perez.
Similarly, Albazi aims to rebound after experiencing his first loss within the UFC, a clear decision defeat against Brandon Moreno at UFC Edmonton in November. The 31-year-old had just returned from an extended break following his split decision victory over Kai Kara-France in June 2023.
