Stephen Dmytryk is on a mission to maintain his perfect professional record and position himself for a championship bout at Art of War Cage Fighting (AOW) 48, taking place on June 6th at the Valley Forge Casino in Pennsylvania.
AOW 48 promises an action-packed evening featuring four professional bouts and a total of 13 fights. The event is set to be a memorable night for fight fans in the tri-state area and those following the growing Starfund App.
The main card includes the light heavyweight title defense by Ian “the Hammer” Alston against Chris Renwick, and a compelling bantamweight clash between “B Mo” Ben Moser and Cole Cameron. Isaac Kent will make his AOW debut against Tyler Kirkpatrick.
A highly anticipated flyweight matchup features Christian Carlo (2-0 as a pro, both by finish) against Brandon Bohannon (2-0). Both fighters are considered rising stars with potential for future success. Carlo, 25, with a Muay Thai and kickboxing background, holds a significant reach advantage over the 24-year-old Bohannon.
On the undercard, the spotlight is on emerging talent like 20-year-old Stephen Dmytryk. Known as “Darce Chocolate” – a tribute to his teammates Kyle Daukaus (“The Darce Knight”) and Matt “White Chocolate” Turnbull – Dmytryk possesses significant personality and confidence, which he has backed up with a 2-0 professional record. He has undergone rigorous training, including sparring with fighters like Brandon Bohannon, to prepare for his upcoming challenge.
Dmytryk shared his perspective on the dedication required in MMA, stating, “One of the more difficult things you realize is that you have to get beat up for years before you even start getting decent. I’m nowhere near where I want to be. I’m still getting beat up and I’ve been getting beat up for four years but I’m finally getting somewhere where I’m not getting beat up as much.”
The undercard also features other exciting matchups, including a high-stakes 170 lb championship bout for Art of War Cage Fighting between Justus Cheatom and Isaiah Herring, boasting talented athletes from renowned camps. An excellent battle is expected between Chris Molina and AJ Bernieri, while the clash between Isaac Pantano (Marquez MMA) and Sean Casey (Algeo MMA) is predicted to be a “fireworks” display. The event is stacked with entertaining fights.
