Silva: I’m Driving the Hype for UFC 314, Mitchell Will Quit

Jean Silva believes he is the main attraction boosting the anticipation for UFC 314. Following his recent victory, Silva`s callout of Bryce Mitchell quickly led to a fight booking for April 12. Both fighters were promptly included in a press conference in early March to promote their Las Vegas showdown.

Silva emphasized his promotional efforts to MMA Fighting, stating, “This fight has become the people’s main event because I promoted it. Who else is carrying this event? The last time we saw a press conference like this, it was with Conor McGregor.” He embraced the promotional aspect, hinting at even more engagement in the future.

Addressing Mitchell`s controversial remarks, Silva noted that even American fans are siding with him due to Mitchell`s statements. Silva humorously stated, “He’s a hillbilly. After I beat him and get my bonus, we’ll celebrate in a hillbilly party.” Despite social media calls for Silva to punish Mitchell for his comments, Silva expressed no animosity.

“I never had that desire to beat him up out of hate,” Silva clarified. “He’s just an employee that will work for me that day, building another step in my success. I don’t hate him. Bryce will quit, and I won’t be mean to continue hitting him. He’ll be defeated like others before him because I am the best.”

Referring to Mitchell`s social media reaction where he claimed Silva was sending “demons,” Silva remained unfazed. “He’s promoting the fight,” Silva concluded. “He needs to show up on April 12th. He can say whatever he wants; it doesn`t matter as long as he shows up to fight.”
