Sean Strickland Dominates Another YouTuber in Sparring

MMA news

Sean Strickland continues his pattern of delivering dominant performances against social media personalities and content creators in sparring sessions.

Most recently, the former UFC middleweight champion engaged in a sparring session with content creator Nick Nayersina at Xtreme Couture gym in Las Vegas. Nayersina later posted a snippet of the spar on Twitter to tease a longer video release. Predictably, the session proved to be extremely difficult for Nayersina.

Footage from the spar shows Strickland landing a variety of strikes, including punches, kicks, knees, and elbows on Nayersina. To his credit, Nayersina demonstrated toughness and persevered through the session.

Outside of these sparring encounters, Strickland is focused on his professional fighting career, aiming to recover from recent bouts. His most recent fight was a unanimous decision loss to Dricus du Plessis at UFC 312 in February, where he unsuccessfully challenged for the middleweight title for a second time. Prior to that, the popular 185-pound fighter secured a victory over Paulo Costa at UFC 301 in June, following his initial title loss to du Plessis at UFC 297 in January 2024.

Strickland initially claimed the championship belt in a major upset victory in September 2023, where he comprehensively defeated Israel Adesanya over five rounds at UFC 293.
