Pokémon Pokopia continues to be a highly discussed game in early 2026. Following its launch, the ‘More Spores for Hoppip’ event introduced three new creatures to the Game Freak and Omega Force life simulation title, suggesting a consistent rollout of new content.
The Dark/Ghost-type Pokémon Sableye is confirmed to be joining the game soon. Its specific limited-time event for acquisition is anticipated to go live around April 29th. However, many Pokopia players have already found ways to bypass the official schedule, reportedly cheating their way into the event ahead of its intended release.
A method discovered shortly after the game’s launch allows players to ‘time travel’ within Pokopia by simply adjusting the Nintendo Switch 2’s system date and time. While this manipulation can sometimes lead to unforeseen issues, it also enables players to activate events prematurely, provided the necessary game files are already present. It appears that the files for both the initial events were included in the game’s original download.
While Sableye’s presence in the game files was noted some time ago, widespread attention has only recently increased. This surge in interest likely stems from players’ curiosity about future content following the conclusion of the Hoppip, Skiploom, and Jumpluff event. Interestingly, players can also reportedly ‘travel back in time’ to reactivate past events if they were missed.
Though many players, myself included, prefer to wait for events to officially begin before welcoming new visitors, getting an early look at upcoming game content is certainly intriguing. With an impressive 2.2 million copies sold during its launch weekend alone, this Pokémon spinoff has started exceptionally well, indicating strong potential for extensive and sustained support in the future.
