Netflix has announced a new round of price increases for its subscription plans, effective immediately. These adjustments come just before the streaming giant is set to host its inaugural live-streamed mixed martial arts event, featuring a highly anticipated matchup between Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano.
Subscribers will see changes across all tiers. The standard plan, which includes advertisements, has risen from $7.99 to $8.99 per month. For those preferring an ad-free experience, the standard plan without ads is now $19.99, up from its previous $17.99 monthly rate. The premium plan, offering benefits such as four simultaneous user streams, has also seen an increase, moving from $24.99 to $26.99 per month.
These updated rates are being implemented ahead of Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions fight card on May 16. The event is headlined by the much-anticipated return of MMA icons Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano, marking a significant milestone as Netflix’s first-ever live-streamed mixed martial arts show.
