Prominent figures from the world of mixed martial arts are set to appear in the continuation of the classic *Naked Gun* film series, highlighting the UFC`s growing influence in mainstream entertainment.
The new comedy-action movie, titled *The Naked Gun*, is scheduled to hit theaters on August 1st. Serving as a legacy sequel to the beloved franchise originally starring Leslie Nielsen, this installment features Liam Neeson and Pamela Anderson. The film continues the tradition of parodying standard police genre tropes. While specific plot details remain limited, it has been confirmed that the movie will include a scene related to MMA.
A recently released promotional video for the film showcases appearances from a number of well-known MMA personalities, including Justin Gaethje, Michael Bisping, Jon Anik, Bruce Buffer, and `Big` John McCarthy. The footage notably depicts Liam Neeson`s character seemingly striking both Buffer and McCarthy.
The cast list also includes WWE superstar Cody Rhodes, also representing TKO, alongside Paul Walter Hauser, CCH Pounder, Kevin Durand, Liza Koshy, Eddie Yu, and Danny Huston. The movie is directed by Akiva Schaffer, an alumnus of Saturday Night Live, with Seth McFarlane, known for creating Family Guy and Ted, serving as an executive producer.
