Manuel Torres Knocks Out Drew Dober Amidst Referee Stoppage Controversy at UFC Mexico

MMA news

Manuel Torres achieved a significant victory in his career, but referee Mike Beltran is under scrutiny for what many perceive as a late stoppage in their fight.

Torres faced experienced lightweight fighter Drew Dober in the co-main event at UFC Mexico in Mexico City on Saturday. Torres inflicted significant damage on Dober in the first round. When Dober attempted a desperate single-leg takedown, Torres countered with a barrage of unanswered punches to Dober`s face. Despite Dober offering no defense, Beltran allowed the fight to continue until 1:45 of the first round before finally stopping it.

The crowd favorite fighter, Torres, now boasts a 4-1 record in the UFC, successfully rebounding from a previous TKO loss to Ignacio Bahamondes at UFC 306 last September in Las Vegas.
