Logan Paul: Fighting Dillon Danis Was My ‘Worst Mistake’

MMA news

Logan Paul deeply regrets his decision to box Dillon Danis. The fight, which took place in October 2023 as part of The Prime Card, saw Paul win due to disqualification but is largely remembered as an underwhelming event.

In his reality show, Paul American, the WWE star discussed the lead-up to the match, focusing on Dillon Danis`s social media attacks targeting his fiancée, Nina Agdal.

“I was looking for my next big fight, and I thought this guy could generate pay-per-view buys, so I chose him as my opponent. It turned out to be the worst mistake of my life,” Paul admitted.

He added, “If we didn`t talk about him, he would be irrelevant. We are the only ones keeping him in the spotlight, even if it`s just to criticize him. I`m okay with that… His intention wasn`t to fight me, but to attack my girlfriend.”

Paul claimed Danis posted over 400 photoshopped images of Agdal, which, while attracting attention to the fight, also subjected Agdal to intense online abuse.

Nina Agdal described the experience as “the most traumatic” of her life, recounting the daily barrage of attacks and her struggle to cope with the emotional distress.

Paul is now preparing for WrestleMania 41, where he will face AJ Styles. Having witnessed Agdal`s ordeal, and now as a father, he expressed increased nervousness about public scrutiny. He emphasized the profound negative impact the online harassment had on Agdal.
