Paramount and UFC have announced a significant long-term contract extension with their esteemed analyst and commentator, Laura Sanko. Sanko will continue to be a key voice covering UFC events on Paramount+, the primary platform for UFC content in the U.S. and Latin America. She is scheduled to serve as the desk analyst for the highly anticipated UFC 327 event in Miami, Florida.
Sanko’s journey with the UFC began in 2016 as a backstage reporter for Fox. She then transitioned to Dana White’s Contender Series in 2017 in the same capacity. Sanko made history in 2021 by becoming the first female color commentator in the modern UFC era during that year’s season of DWCS. She further etched her name in history on February 4, 2023, with her UFC broadcast debut at UFC FIGHT NIGHT: LEWIS vs. SPIVAC. Moving forward, Sanko will continue to conduct fighter interviews, provide cage-side reporting, and be a regular presence on the morning weigh-in shows.
A black belt in jiu-jitsu and a former atomweight fighter for Invicta FC, Sanko brings invaluable firsthand combat experience and a high fight IQ to her analysis. She is known for offering crucial insights, unique fight breakdowns, and detailed perspectives on the action.
