UFC Hall of Fame inductee Khabib Nurmagomedov has expressed his full willingness to assist former Manchester United soccer star Patrice Evra in preparing for his upcoming mixed martial arts debut in the PFL, scheduled for May 23.

Following his announcement to venture into MMA, Evra contacted Nurmagomedov to discuss his intentions. Evra clarified that his entry into fighting is not a mere publicity stunt but a serious commitment. The 43-year-old former France international emphasized his dedication to thorough preparation for this challenge.

During their talk, Evra stated, “I need to train seriously. You know my deep respect for you and for the sport, which is why I truly need a training session with you. I want to learn from the best.”

Nurmagomedov, a long-time soccer enthusiast, readily offered his assistance to Evra, particularly noting their current residency in Dubai while Evra prepares for his first fight.

Khabib reiterated his offer, saying, “As I’ve told you before, just send me your location and I will find you. Tell me where you are? When we meet, you just need to be ready. I will handle the rest; I will teach you how to dominate.”

It is well known that Nurmagomedov is considered among the elite coaches in MMA, having trained numerous champions, including UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev and PFL lightweight champion Usman Nurmagomedov.

Since retiring from competition, Nurmagomedov has focused extensively on coaching. He is renowned for leading rigorous training sessions and for his commitment to maximizing his fighters` potential. It seems he is prepared to include Evra in his training group whenever their schedules align.

Nurmagomedov concluded, “My only desire is for you to improve yourself. It was great seeing you, and I sincerely hope you send me your location so we can finally train together.”

Evra is scheduled to debut in the PFL at their upcoming event in France, set to take place on May 23 at the Accor Arena in Paris.
