Following his own victory at WWE WrestleMania 41, John Cena praised Logan Paul as a standout rising star.
On the same night Cena triumphed over Cody Rhodes, Paul also celebrated a win against veteran A.J. Styles in Las Vegas. While Paul has been commended for his quick adaptation to professional wrestling, his rapid ascent has also drawn criticism from some who believe he hasn`t earned his position.
However, Cena disagrees, asserting that Paul consistently proves his value in the ring and likely disregards any negativity.
“Logan Paul is exceptional,” Cena stated on The Pat McAfee Show. “I immediately messaged him after his match, impressed by his innovative approach, from his drone entrance to his willingness to take risks. His in-ring performance is remarkable, featuring athleticism comparable to or exceeding seasoned wrestlers.”
Cena added, “What I admire most about Logan Paul is his indifference to public opinion. He’s authentic and incredibly talented. People will eventually recognize his worth. His late entry into WWE shouldn`t be a disadvantage. He’s a legitimate WWE superstar who belongs in the ring. He’ll always be true to himself, and whether he’s cheered or booed, he’s a must-see attraction.”
Paul`s WrestleMania entrance involved using a drone to capture his arrival, which Cena found particularly creative.
Cena acknowledged Paul`s skill in leveraging his social media and YouTube experience to establish relevance in WWE.
Furthermore, Cena recognized Paul`s resilience in the face of past controversies, noting that his ability to persevere will benefit his wrestling career.
“He’s faced considerable negativity but has persevered,” Cena remarked. “He`s been told he`s finished countless times, yet he remains unfazed. He`s someone who never quits.”
