Jessica Borga has etched her name in BKFC history by becoming the inaugural women`s featherweight champion. Her victory came in spectacular fashion, delivering a brutal knockout to Hannah Rankin just 32 seconds into the very first round of their Saturday afternoon fight.
From the opening bell, both fighters engaged aggressively, exchanging powerful blows immediately. However, Borga quickly found her range and began landing more significant and damaging punches.
As Rankin moved forward, Borga unleashed a devastating punch that connected cleanly, sending Rankin crashing face-first to the canvas. The referee, seeing the severity of the knockout, immediately stopped the fight without initiating a count.
In her post-fight remarks, a confident Borga proclaimed, “I`m the one and only Jessica Borga, and I`m only getting more dangerous. I don`t care who it is – bring on any challenger. I`m here to stay!”
Borga now joins the ranks of other BKFC women`s champions, including Christine Ferea, the flyweight titleholder, and Britain Hart, the strawweight champion who recently defended her title against Tai Emery.
This victory marks a significant milestone in Borga`s bare-knuckle career, extending her record to 3-0, with all of her wins achieved by knockout.
