Jake Paul and Logan Paul Clash Over Mike Tyson Fight Announcement

Sibling rivalry is alive and well between Jake Paul and his older brother, Logan Paul.

The debut episode of their reality series, “Paul American,” now available on Max, revisits the moment Jake revealed his plans to box Mike Tyson. This fight became a massive event in combat sports history. However, shortly after the fight was confirmed, Logan discussed it on his podcast with KSI, his business partner in Prime Energy Drink. They made fun of the match, citing Tyson`s age, as the 58-year-old boxing legend had accepted Jake`s challenge.

This commentary sparked a tense phone conversation between the brothers after Jake listened to the podcast.

“I`m dedicated to making this event as huge as possible,” Jake told Logan. “You, being so close to it, are undermining it by sitting with KSI and talking badly about it. I can`t understand you, brother.”

Separately, Jake mentioned that Logan has a history of doing this to him, so he wasn`t entirely surprised it happened when he announced the biggest opportunity of his career.

“Logan constantly tries to belittle me whenever he can,” Jake explained. “He`s with my biggest rival, KSI, criticizing my greatest achievement. That`s not how brothers should behave.”

Logan and KSI have become close recently, which likely made the podcast episode even harder for Jake to accept, given his well-known feud with KSI.

Logan, however, didn`t think his remarks were overly critical, believing his opinion wouldn`t deter viewers from watching the fight.

“Nobody will decide not to watch Mike Tyson fight because I mentioned his age. Everyone knows he`s old,” Logan argued. “Bro, did you even listen to the podcast? I supported you the entire time! I said you could knock him out in the second round. I said you`d beat him if you really went for it.”

“Bro, who are you listening to? I`m not just going to agree with you blindly. Get others to tell you it`s going to be a good fight against Mike Tyson. He is old!”

Jake remained unhappy, trying to explain that perception matters and having a family member disrespect the fight negatively impacts its promotion.

“That`s not the point,” Jake responded. “It`s about promoting the fight. And it`s coming from my own brother.”

The conversation escalated when Jake attacked Logan`s personal life.

“I have great friends and family. You don`t even have a single real friend, bro. Mike [Majlak, your podcast co-host] is just a paid friend.”

Logan retorted with the same accusation, and Jake ended the call by hanging up on his brother.

“You live with your paid friends,” Logan said. “He hung up. What a jerk.”

During the episode, Jake and Logan`s mother expressed her sadness at seeing her sons argue, especially when their disagreements become so bitter.

Logan acknowledged that his personality often clashes with Jake`s, creating a potentially explosive dynamic.

“Jake is tough but also sensitive, and I`m an *sshole,” Logan admitted. “It`s not a good combination.”

Jake seemed to agree, particularly with Logan`s behavior towards him.

“Sometimes I don`t understand why Logan treats me like this,” Jake said. “It`s like a sociopathic lack of empathy for his younger brother, and he`s always trying to put me down.”

This uncomfortable argument was made worse because it occurred just before Jake and Logan Paul were scheduled to meet with Warner Bros. Discovery to propose their reality show idea. Fortunately, they resolved their issues, and Logan later informed Jake that he had edited the podcast episode to remove the comments about the Tyson fight.

Jake eventually fought and defeated Tyson by decision in a match reportedly watched by 100 million viewers on Netflix.
