Jack Draper’s mum provided a funny moment on BBC radio when she accidentally ignored a call from her son after his biggest career win.
Draper, 23, achieved his first Masters 1000 title by defeating Holger Rune in the Indian Wells final on Sunday.

The match concluded just after 10pm UK time.
Draper’s mum Nicky joined BBC Radio Surrey on Monday morning to discuss her son’s significant achievement, which propelled him to No7 in the world rankings.
During the radio interview, she unknowingly declined a call from Jack, who was eager to connect with her.
Nicky, 55, laughing, said: "He always calls me for a chat. In fact, I've just declined his call now. I was a bit distracted when I saw he was calling, so I declined. I guess he's just going to bed."
The BBC Radio Surrey presenter suggested a three-way call with Jack, but Nicky thought it might not be a good idea.
She added, "I imagine he celebrated a bit tonight. I hope he and his team relaxed a little because they are usually very focused."
Draper, originally from Sutton, had an impressive run in Indian Wells, defeating several top players before easily winning against Rune 6-2 6-2.
This is Draper’s third career title, adding to his previous wins in Stuttgart and Vienna in 2024, and earned him a £930,000 prize at what’s considered the ‘fifth Slam’.
Nicky had travelled to New York for Draper’s US Open semi-final last year and praised her son’s resilience in overcoming injuries to compete at the highest level.
He is now close to Novak Djokovic in the rankings, just 60 points behind.
Draper’s mum added: "He has worked incredibly hard for this. He has always been talented, but hard work is essential. He’s focused on all aspects of tennis: speed, fitness, mental strength, and tournament scheduling. He is now heading to Miami."
"The final was relatively straightforward compared to some matches where I’ve been on edge for hours. It was fairly comfortable."
Princess Kate congratulated Draper on Instagram, writing: "Congratulations @jackdraper. A fantastic performance. Well done."
