Islam Youssef Lands Stunning Flying Kick KO in PFL MENA Debut

Islam Youssef made a spectacular start to his PFL career with an unforgettable knockout victory.

Competing in the opening round of the PFL MENA bantamweight quarterfinals on Friday, Youssef unleashed an incredible flying kick. The strike connected with a retreating Benyamin Ghahreman, sending him crashing to the canvas in dramatic fashion.

Ghahreman attempted to regain his footing and move away, but Youssef pressed the attack relentlessly. As Ghahreman circled near the fence, he turned directly into Youssef’s airborne strike, which landed squarely on his head. Youssef followed up with a few hammer fists before the bout was officially stopped at the 3:56 mark of Round 2.

Notably, Youssef had officially missed weight for the fight, coming in slightly over the bantamweight limit at 137.3 pounds on Thursday. Despite this, Youssef`s decisive victory ensures his progression to the semifinals of the PFL MENA 135-pound tournament.

This impressive win brings Islam Youssef`s professional mixed martial arts record to 6-2. It also extends his current winning streak to five consecutive fights since suffering his last loss in 2021.
