The UFC`s latest poster reveal for UFC 317 marks the beginning of a new era in the promotion`s lightweight division.
This annual International Fight Week pay-per-view event is set for June 28 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The headline bout features former featherweight champion Ilia Topuria making the move up to lightweight to challenge Charles Oliveira for the vacant 155-pound world title, a belt recently relinquished by Islam Makhachev.
Topuria aims to capture his second divisional UFC world title, having vacated his featherweight championship earlier this year. Oliveira has the opportunity to become a two-time lightweight champion if he successfully spoils Topuria`s return to the division.
In the co-main event, Alexandre Pantoja will defend his UFC flyweight title against challenger Kai Kara-France.
