Hooper and Hernandez Set to Clash at UFC 319

MMA news

Chase Hooper is heading to Chicago to compete on another prominent pay-per-view event.

A lightweight contest featuring Hooper and Alexander Hernandez has been added to the UFC 319 fight card. The event is scheduled to take place at the United Center in Chicago.

Hooper enters this upcoming bout riding an impressive five-fight winning streak since transitioning from the featherweight division to 155 pounds. “The Dream” kicked off his 2025 campaign with a unanimous decision victory over veteran Jim Miller back in April. The 25-year-old has secured submissions in three of his last four appearances.

Hernandez is slated for his 16th appearance inside the octagon and is currently enjoying his longest win streak since his initial two fights in the promotion. In his most recent two outings, “The Great Ape” earned decision wins against Austin Hubbard and Kurt Holobaugh.

UFC 319 is headlined by a highly anticipated middleweight championship showdown between reigning champion Dricus du Plessis and the undefeated contender Khamzat Chimaev.
