Hermansson vs. Rodrigues Booked for UFC 317

MMA news

Veteran middleweights Jack Hermansson and Gregory Rodrigues are set to face each other at UFC 317 during International Fight Week on June 28th. This significant booking was confirmed by MMA Fighting, following an initial report from Ag. Fight.

The event is scheduled to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. As of now, the headlining attraction for the card has not yet been officially announced by the promotion.

Jack Hermansson (24-8) is making his return to the Octagon after a layoff of 16 months. His most recent appearance resulted in a unanimous decision victory over Joe Pyfer. Hermansson holds an 11-6 record within the UFC and has seen his record alternate between wins and losses over the past six years, ever since his four-fight winning streak was broken by a Jared Cannonier uppercut.

Gregory Rodrigues (16-6) had been building considerable momentum in the UFC, securing victories against Denis Tiuliulin, Brad Tavares, and Christian Leroy Duncan. However, his impressive run was halted in a main event clash against Jared Cannonier this past February, where he suffered a fourth-round knockout loss. The former LFA champion has achieved 7 wins in his 10 appearances in the Octagon, accumulating four performance bonuses and finishing five opponents by knockout.
