Dimitrov vs Francisco Cerundolo match went to three sets.

Dimitrov managed to save a match point, securing his 150th victory at the ATP Masters 1000 event with a score of 6-7 (6), 6-4, 7-6 (3).

Despite falling behind 3-0 in the final set, Dimitrov fought back to win.

The intense match lasted two hours and 48 minutes, culminating in Dimitrov reaching the semi-finals where he is set to face the winner between Novak Djokovic and Sebastian Korda.

After a sportsmanlike exchange with Cerundolo, Dimitrov requested tournament officials to postpone his on-court interview.

Following the match, the 33-year-old required medical attention at his courtside chair.

He seemed to be experiencing cramps and labored breathing, necessitating a prolonged medical evaluation.

Medical personnel checked his blood pressure and then assisted Dimitrov in leaving the court.

Tennis commentator Martina Navratilova commented on the unusual scene, stating she had never witnessed a player collapse after winning a match.

She noted that Dimitrov appeared to be running on fumes towards the end of the second set.

Navratilova praised Dimitrov`s resilience, highlighting his ability to win despite feeling unwell, describing it as an extraordinary emotional and physical effort.

She added that despite Cerundolo appearing fresher, Dimitrov found a way to secure the victory.

Dimitrov will have a day to recover, as the quarter-final match between Korda and Djokovic was postponed due to time constraints.

Tournament rules stipulate that matches should not commence after 11:00 PM local time without special permission.

In related news from the Miami Open, No. 4 seed Jessica Pegula concluded Raducanu`s impressive tournament run with a 6-3, 6-7 (3), 6-2 victory.

Raducanu briefly raised medical concerns towards the end of the second set due to dizziness.

She received medical attention, including blood tests, and continued to play the third set.

Reflecting on her dizziness, the 22-year-old explained that she felt faint and attributed it to the humidity, the long wait times, the physical demands of the match, extended rallies, and challenging conditions.
