Global Fight League (GFL) has officially revealed details for their first two events, set to take place over two nights in Los Angeles this May.
In a press release on Monday, GFL announced the dates and fight cards for their debut events on May 24th and 25th at the Shrine Auditorium. According to the announcement, all six teams—Los Angeles, New York, London, Dubai, São Paulo, and Miami—will participate in a total of 31 fights across two days, encompassing ten different weight classes. The league boasts these events will showcase some of the most unique and diverse fight cards in MMA history.
The May 24th event will feature compelling matchups, including MMA trilogy fights between Urijah Faber and Renan Barao, as well as Anthony Pettis and Benson Henderson.
The May 25th card is highlighted by a highly anticipated fight between former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson and Dillon Danis. Additionally, former UFC fighter Paige VanZant will make her return to mixed martial arts on this card.
Currently, GFL has not yet announced where fans can watch these events. However, the press release indicated that an announcement regarding broadcast details is expected sometime in April.
