Drake and Conor McGregor have placed massive bets on the main fights of UFC 314.
Ahead of Saturday`s pay-per-view event in Miami, the celebrities shared information about their huge bets, made in partnership with their gambling sponsors.
Drake announced on his Instagram Stories that he bet a substantial $545,000 on the favorite Alexander Volkanovski in the main event against Diego Lopes, for him to win and become the UFC featherweight champion again.
Should Volkanovski be victorious, the Canadian rapper will receive a payout of $915,000.
This victory would be very important for Volkanovski, who is on a losing streak of knockout defeats in his last two championship fights against Ilia Topuria and lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. The 36-year-old fighter aims to become the first in UFC history to win an undisputed title after two consecutive losses.
Lopes has won five straight fights since losing a decision to undefeated featherweight contender Movsar Evloev, accepted on short notice.
McGregor also joined in on the action. He shared a video on Twitter where he showed that he is betting $500,000 on his longtime rival Michael Chandler not just to defeat Paddy Pimblett in Saturday`s co-main event, but to win by knockout.
Chandler, a three-time Bellator lightweight champion, is the underdog in the fight against Pimblett, as he has lost his last two fights and four of his six UFC appearances. Pimblett has a 6-0 record in the octagon.
