A prominent tennis player, known for her past Wimbledon semi-final appearance, has recently adopted a dog she discovered injured at the Miami Open.
Danielle Collins, aged 31, was in Miami competing in the tournament when she encountered the injured animal.

Despite her loss to Aryna Sabalenka in Miami, Collins`s trip was not without a positive outcome. Last Saturday, she found a dog hurt on the roadside, a victim of a car accident.
Collins, currently ranked No.15 globally, took immediate action, bringing the injured dog to a vet for urgent care. She then reached out to her followers on Instagram, requesting prayers for the dog`s recovery.
Now, with the dog out of the hospital and in her care, Collins has happily announced his adoption and introduced him as “Crash”.
In a heartfelt update, Collins shared that Crash is recovering well after five days of oxygen support. She noted his breathing has normalized, his injuries are healing, and he is clearly enjoying his new loving environment. She described him as curious, affectionate, and appreciative of a second chance at life.
Collins expressed her distress at finding the dog suffering after being hit by a car, especially with many people passing by without stopping to help. She conveyed her gratitude for being able to intervene and ensure he received the necessary medical attention.
She confirmed her commitment to Crash, stating she has officially adopted him and plans to enroll him in training once he is fully recovered.
Collins, who previously considered retiring from tennis, has since decided to continue her career. She explained that health challenges related to endometriosis and her desire to start a family have influenced her decision to extend her time on the tour. She will be returning to competition in 2025.
While her ranking is expected to slightly decrease after the Miami Open, Danielle Collins is scheduled to participate in the clay court season, beginning in Charleston next week.
