Esports news

Pearl Abyss, the studio behind the upcoming game Crimson Desert, has addressed recent allegations regarding the use of artificial intelligence in its development process. The developer confirmed that ‘2D visual props were created as part of early-stage iteration using experimental AI generative tools.’ Pearl Abyss clarified that while these AI-generated assets were utilized during initial development phases, the company had always intended to replace them with finalized, human-made artwork before the game’s official launch. The studio has expressed regret that these AI-generated images were not removed as planned prior to the game’s release.
