Chaotic Scene Erupts at Misfits Boxing 21 Press Conference

MMA news

Ahead of Misfits Boxing 21, veteran competitor Chase DeMoor caused a significant disturbance during the pre-fight press conference, involving thrown objects and overturned furniture.

At Wednesday`s press event in Derby, England, which featured all fighters on the upcoming card, DeMoor — who is scheduled to face Tank Tolman on Friday — directed his attention towards a former opponent, Tempo Arts (against whom DeMoor has previously lost), and also towards Godson.

The situation quickly escalated. As Tempo Arts began to speak, DeMoor threw a water bottle, striking him directly in the face. Arts immediately stood up and approached DeMoor, who responded by flipping over a table. As security personnel attempted to intervene and separate the fighters, Godson was seen placing his hand around DeMoor’s throat. Security eventually managed to remove DeMoor from the stage, allowing the press conference to continue.

Both Tempo Arts and Godson are slated to compete later on the card in a four-man heavyweight survivor tag match, where they will team up with Big Tobz and Curtis Pritchard.

Since suffering a defeat to Arts in October 2023, DeMoor has accumulated a record of five consecutive victories, three of which were professional bouts.

The main event for the Misfits Boxing 21 card on Friday features a clash between former UFC middleweight fighters Darren Till and Darren Stewart.
