The Bastide UTS Nîmes, kicking off the 2026 UTS Tour, witnessed a dramatic day of quarter-final tennis on Friday as four formidable contenders secured their places in the semifinals. Defending champion Casper Ruud is set to face a strong challenge from top seeds Félix Auger-Aliassime and Alexander Bublik, along with UTS specialist Andrey Rublev.
The journey to the final four was particularly nail-biting for some, with second seed Alexander Bublik mounting an incredible comeback. He saved three match points against Ugo Humbert in a thrilling 3-2 victory, overcoming an 11-18, 10-21 deficit and battling through to secure his spot after a crucial third set win (17-16), promising more high-stakes action as he continues his run.
