The fight concluded when Whittaker (9-0-1) staggered Cameron (27-6-1, 1 NC) with a strong right hand, followed by a rapid series of punches that led the referee to stop the match.
After the fight, Whittaker was accused of spitting towards Cameron`s corner, adding a controversial element to his win. Speaking to Sky Sports, Whittaker addressed the accusation, stating it was merely emotion and denied any intentional spitting.
