Arthur Fils, seeded No. 9, secured the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell championship by overcoming No. 5 seed Andrey Rublev with a score of 6-2, 7-6 (2) on Sunday afternoon. This triumph marks the fourth ATP title of his career, his first since his victory in Tokyo in 2024, and signifies a strong comeback following an injury. The 21-year-old Frenchman demonstrated remarkable control throughout the final, despite an initial stumble. Rublev managed to gain a 2-0 lead in the first set, but Fils quickly responded, breaking back and then dominating the remainder of the set.
