UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan and his entourage were removed from an American Airlines flight bound for Philadelphia on Thursday. The flight originated in Los Angeles.
Footage of the incident has circulated online, prompting a statement from the airline. American Airlines confirmed that flight 513 returned to the gate at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to accommodate passengers who did not comply with federal regulations. The airline emphasized that safety is paramount and passengers are expected to follow crew instructions, including remaining seated during taxiing.
Tsarukyan was traveling to Philadelphia for his upcoming match at RAF 08 against Urijah Faber, scheduled as the co-main event. Following the incident, he boarded a private flight and shared a humorous update on Instagram, expressing hope of not being removed from this new aircraft and confirming his arrival in Philadelphia within five hours.
