Andrei Arlovski is making the transition to bare-knuckle boxing.
Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship recently announced that the veteran fighter will make his promotional debut against Geronimo dos Santos. Their bout is scheduled for June 21st at BKFC 76, which will take place in Fort Worth, Texas.
Arlovski, 46 years old, is a former UFC heavyweight champion. He initially secured an interim title at UFC 51 in February 2005 and was later elevated to undisputed champion. After losing the championship and departing the UFC in 2008, he returned six years later. Arlovski competed in the promotion until 2024, concluding his tenure after a run of four consecutive losses. Known as “The Pitbull,” he recently stepped into the Dirty Boxing arena earlier this year, achieving a second-round stoppage victory over Terrance Hodges in March.
Geronimo dos Santos, a seasoned MMA competitor holding a record of 45-26-1, has already had his first Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship bout. He made his debut in April, defeating Aleksei Oleinik by stoppage at BKFC 41.
